
Malteser Bites
A simple chocolatey, no - bake tray bake made with digestives, Maltesers and chocolate.
Ingredients:
200g milk chocolate
100g unsalted butter
2 tbsp golden syrup
125g digestive biscuits
135g maltesers
100g white chocolate (to top)
What to do:
Line a 20cm square baking tin with greaseproof paper.
Place the chocolate, butter and syrup in a pan on a low heat and stir until melted. Allow to cool slightly.
Whilst the chocolate mix is cooling, place the digestives and 60g of the maltesers into a sealable bag, seal, and crush with a rolling pin. You want mainly a crumb consistency although a few chunkier bits also.
Add the crushed biscuit mix to the melted chocolate mix, and stir until well combined. Press into the lined baking tin.
Melt 100g white chocolate in the microwave, or in a heatproof bowl over a pan of barely simmering water. Once melted, pour this ontop of the traybake and spread evenly.
Top with the remaining crushed maltesers, and put in the fridge for at least an hour to set before cutting into squares and serving.
